The Principles of Progress
The purpose of these ethical guidelines is to promote fidelity, responsibility, integrity, fairness, and equity. They are intended to strengthen trust and confidence in the actions of individuals who speak, write, or express themselves in any other way on behalf of the Progressive Party. Trustees and staff must always promote the advancement of these rules, support them, and lead by good example. The ethical guidelines are accessible on the party's website and available to everyone; they apply to all members. All individuals serving in a fiduciary capacity on behalf of the Progressive Party are required to adhere to laws and ethical guidelines in their work.
Article 1: Respect and Trust.
The Progressive Party operates with the interests of the nation as its guiding light. In their work, members must keep this in mind and thereby support one another in their duties.
Article 2: Integrity and Conflicts of Interest.
All work for the benefit of the party must be conducted with fidelity and integrity. All personal interests that may unreasonably affect work for the benefit of the party must be disclosed publicly.
Article 3: Responsibility.
Party members and staff shall conduct their duties with dignity and conscientiousness and must always be ready to take responsibility for their actions. The executive board of the Progressive Party will resolve issues of responsibility concerning violations of these rules in accordance with the laws of the Progressive Party.
Article 4: Transparency.
The fundamental principles of good governance should always be respected. Legitimate and substantive considerations should always guide decision-making.
Article 5: Objectivity.
Decisions should be made thoughtfully each time. It is forbidden to misuse one's position for personal gain or that of others. Elected representatives must always ensure they manage their roles well.
Article 6: Equality.
Equality should be a guiding principle in all work conducted on behalf of the party, with the aim of preventing discrimination based on origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, residence, class, religion, and health.
Article 7: Confidentiality.
Trustees of the party must respect confidentiality in their work and adhere to applicable rules regarding non-disclosure both within the party and outside it. Trustees are prohibited from using confidential information for their own benefit.
Article 8: Gifts and Donations.
The Progressive Party operates in accordance with the laws regarding political party finances. It is prohibited for party trustees to accept gifts or perks that may be assumed to be given for inappropriate purposes due to their position.
Article 9: Reports to the Ethics Committee.
Violations of ethical guidelines are viewed seriously. Members who witness incidents that may be violations of the party's ethical guidelines can report the violation unequivocally and with justification to the ethics committee in writing. The ethics committee shall maintain confidentiality regarding reports that are submitted to the committee.
Article 10: Handling Violations of Ethical Guidelines.
The procedure regarding violations of these ethical guidelines is governed by the laws of the Progressive Party.
